The Bloodhound Pack
The Bloodhound Pack was formerly a strike team for The Hunt, known for their brutal, efficient tactics during the Great Wolf War. They were assigned the most dangerous and heinous missions: hunting down Nature wolves, killing survivors (including children), and instilling fear in the enemy through maiming, pillaging, and worse. The Bloodhound pack’s post-war actions cemented them as a powerful and independent force in the city. By carving out their own territory and establishing a werewolf-exclusive bar, they built a sanctuary for wolves in a world that neither fully accepted nor trusted them. Riding on their fearsome reputation as the wolves who had ended the war by defeating Volden, they became one of the most feared and respected packs in the city.

Post-War Rise of the Bloodhound Pack: Carving Out Territory
In the aftermath of the Great Wolf War, with their reputation solidified as the vicious strike team responsible for tearing apart the infamous warlord Volden and bringing the conflict to an end, the Bloodhound pack wasted no time in asserting their dominance within the city. Despite the political and social tensions still hanging over the wolves in general, the Bloodhound pack managed to leverage their fearsome legacy to carve out their own territory in the sprawling urban environment.
While other packs remained scattered, struggling to find footing or to integrate within the bounds of supernatural society, the Bloodhounds stood apart. They were seasoned warriors, survivors of brutal missions, and with Volden’s defeat under their belts, they were more than capable of commanding respect—and fear. The Bloodhounds' leadership and strategic thinking allowed them to stake their claim in a part of the city, securing their own space away from the prying eyes of both humans and other supernatural factions.
The Werewolf-Exclusive Bar: Bloodhound Territory
As part of their strategy to cement their influence and independence, the Bloodhound pack opened a werewolf-exclusive bar, a hub for wolves in need of neutral ground. The bar quickly gained a reputation as the ultimate meeting spot for werewolves, particularly those who, like the Bloodhounds, were either bounty hunters or wolves operating outside the constraints of the Treaty.
This bar became a symbol of the pack’s strength and independence—a place where no supernatural laws applied except those laid down by the pack itself. It was a neutral zone, where rival packs could meet, discuss business, or settle disputes without fear of bloodshed, so long as they respected the Bloodhounds’ territory. Wolves from all walks of life—veterans of the war, bounty hunters employed by the witches, or lone wolves—frequented the bar. It became a space where wolves could gather, share information, or simply drink in peace, away from the rest of supernatural society’s judgmental gaze.
The Bloodhounds made it clear from the start that while the bar was neutral ground, they were the ones in charge. Their reputation as the pack who ended the war meant that few dared to challenge their authority. They maintained order with an iron fist, but they allowed wolves the freedom to exist as wolves within those walls, outside the rules of the wider supernatural world. Here, no witch could tell them what to do, no vampires could exert influence, and no human law could touch them.
Rising Influence and Fear
The Bloodhound pack’s status in the city only grew from there. The bar, in particular, became a hub of information, where bounty hunters and werewolf mercenaries could exchange contracts or receive tips on dangerous supernatural criminals they were hired to hunt down. It also became a sanctuary for those wolves who still clung to the old ways of the Hunt, those who felt out of place in the new world order but had no desire to bring about the kind of chaos that would attract attention from the witches or other factions.
This rising influence created a delicate balance for the Bloodhounds. On the one hand, their reputation gave them a degree of untouchability—no one, not even the witches, wanted to move directly against the pack that had ended the war. On the other hand, their growing influence meant that they were watched carefully by the supernatural authorities, particularly the witches, who were all too aware of the dangers that wolves posed if they united under a single banner again.
In some ways, the Bloodhound pack had become a symbol of power within the werewolf community. Younger wolves, especially those with no memory of the war, looked up to them. The bar attracted bounty hunters looking for work, and those wolves who still carried the violent, chaotic legacy of the Hunt came looking for sanctuary. As such, the Bloodhounds were both feared and revered—a powerful independent pack, no longer part of the Hunt’s ideology, but still clinging to the strength and dominance that had made them legends.
Legacy of Volden's Defeat
The Bloodhound pack's role in defeating Volden, the warlord who sought to further the Hunt’s radical agenda and turn the fight against humanity, was a significant part of their legacy. Many wolves whispered about how the pack had not just fought for the Hunt’s ideology but had turned against it when it became clear that Volden's methods would only bring more destruction upon their kind.
But this legacy also came with its challenges. While the Bloodhounds had distanced themselves from the more extreme ideologies of the Hunt, they still struggled with their violent past. Many other supernatural races saw them as no different from the wolves who had ravaged the countryside and spilled innocent blood during the war. Their bar, though neutral ground, was still viewed with suspicion by outsiders, especially by those from the Nature faction.
